Number Grades (out of 100)

What the number means:

  • 95+: Number 1 pick, Andrew Luck territory, a lock to be a franchise QB.
  • 90-94: Top 5 picks, fairly confident that they’ll develop into a franchise QB with a chance to be a perennial Pro Bowler.
  • 85-89: Top 10 picks, should be a long-term starter, but due to a lower ceiling or a lower chance of reaching their ceiling, I don’t value them as highly as the 90+ prospects.
  • 80-84: Mid to late 1st round picks, project as starting QBs but probably no chance of being elite.
  • 75-79: 2nd or 3rd round picks, can potentially develop into an average at best starting QB.
  • 70-74: 4th or 5th round picks, project as long-term backups.
  • 65-69: 6th or 7th round picks, either very low ceiling or very low floor
