• Can’t shrug off tacklers the way Allen and Darnold can, but he’s elusive in the pocket in his own way, using his frenetic feet to buy time when he needs to.
• Ball velocity is shockingly good coming from a relatively small guy
• Ball placement is very good, arguably the best in the class IMO
• Seems extremely poised when reading zone coverage but struggles a bit against press man coverages.
• Makes more anticipatory throws than you’d expect from such a QB-friendly system
• A lot of half-field reads.
• Overall take:

  • He’ll have a bit of a learning curve adjusting to more sophisticated reads, but the accuracy, arm strength, and pocket presence are all there already. He should be a solid starter from Day 1.
