Scouting Report
- Absolute sitting duck in the pocket; takes far too many hits
- Knows where his checkdown is at all times but waits until the absolute last second to dump it off, resulting in a lot of unnecessary hits on his body.
- On the bright side, Falk is willing to take those hits; many QBs will fade away from their throw to protect themselves when pressure is coming but he’s willing to step into the hit to make a good pass.
- Arm strength is pretty much on par with Rudolph; pretty much solely a guy that will attack you in the middle of the field.
- Ball placement is adequate.
- A lot of half-field/one-read throws.
- Everyone raves about his intelligence
- Injury history
- Overall take:
- Pro-readiness (ranking out of 11): 8th
- Potential: 9th
- Overall: 8th
- Number Grade (out of 100): 72
- Barring injury, I think Falk will have a very long career in the NFL, but as a backup QB. I don’t think there’s much potential there at all; neither his arm strength or his accuracy is very impressive.
- Most likely comp: Trent Edwards
- Peak: Matt Moore
